Dear Parents and students,
As part of the TCAP family I would like to welcome you to TCAP and Wilson High School. I hope that soon we will be able to meet each other and discuss how together we can make this year a success. I have been teaching at Wilson High School for ten years. I am very passionate about teaching and I much from my students. The purpose of this letter is to inform you and your child of the TCAP student guidelines. Every TCAP member will adhere to the following:
* Follow all existing WHS rules
o No electronic devices in class
o No hats, beanies or hoods in class (girls and boys)
* Be respectful and polite to all members
* Arrive promptly to class everyday
* Maintain a clean classroom
* Absolutely no eating or chewing in class
Besides the school rules mentioned above I have a few requirements for the class. To ensure that your child succeeds in this class I expect from them the following:
* Be prepared to take notes and do work everyday
* Be prompt
o Any unexcused tardy will result in loosing points for the last completed assignment
* Homework is assigned by each teacher
o No homework is assigned the day before an exam and the day of the exam (some holiday weekends too! Please expect homework on a daily basis.
* Late work will not be accepted
* Inappropriate Language is not tolerated and you must be prepared to loose points for bad words
Parents we need your help in providing an engaging and rigorous instructional program. By signing this form you agree to support us in decisions we make with regard to your child’s behavior. We expect you to back us up with your child’s consequences. TCAP is like a small family and it is important that we communicate with one another. Everyone must be involved and responsible for the education of your child in order to have a successful year. I hope that you will feel free to call me any time or come by and meet with me.
